Shawn Sibley is a career coach and workforce development professional who helps individuals navigate career pathways with clarity and confidence. With experience in academic advising, career coaching, and job search strategy, Shawn supports college students, career changers, and working professionals as they prepare for advancement, transition, and long-term success.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Arts in Multicultural Studies from the University of Louisville, and an MBA in Marketing and Data Analytics from Louisiana State University. Shawn is also a Certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), integrating evidence-based coaching practices with data-informed strategies to support career development and workforce readiness.

Shawn’s professional background spans higher education, juvenile justice, child welfare, and state agencies, including the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, the South Carolina Department of Social Services, and Midlands Technical College. She currently works full-time as a Healthcare Academic & Career Advisor and holds an additional instructional position teaching COL 106: College Skills for Success, supporting students in building foundational academic and career readiness skills.

Through Keep Reaching Consulting, Shawn provides career coaching, resume and interview support, job search assistance, and career readiness training for individuals. Her work is grounded in practical strategy, clear communication, and an understanding of real-world hiring practices. She is expanding her services to include workforce development programming and classes for colleges and community-based programs.

Outside of her professional work, Shawn values lifelong learning and community engagement. She was a recipient of the Gilman International Scholarship and the Walmart First Generation College Student Award.

 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog and family and exploring new restaurants.
